About
Who we are
Car Hire Co is an independent car hire comparison website. We built it to make one part of travel simpler: finding a rental car at a fair price, with the terms clear before you pay.
Anyone who has hired a car knows how confusing it can get. Prices look low until fuel rules, insurance excess and extra fees appear. We want you to see the full picture before you book, so you can decide with confidence.
What we do
You enter where you want to collect the car and the dates you need it. Our search then shows offers from car rental suppliers side by side, so you can compare:
- Price and car type
- Pick-up locations, including airports and city offices
- Fuel policy and mileage limits
- Insurance cover and excess
- Cancellation terms
We also publish guides and tips on our blog, covering destinations, driving rules, and ways to save money on your next rental.
How we work with DiscoverCars.com
We want to be clear about how this website works.
Car Hire Co provides its car rental search and booking service through our partner, DiscoverCars.com. When you search on our site, the results come from DiscoverCars.com, and you complete your booking on their platform. Your rental agreement is with DiscoverCars.com and the rental supplier you choose, so their terms and conditions apply to your booking. If you need help with an existing booking, use the contact details in your confirmation email.
We earn a commission. When you book through our site, DiscoverCars.com pays us a commission. This costs you nothing extra, and the price you see is the price you pay. This commission is how we fund the site and keep our guides free to read.
Our promise to you
- Honest information. We explain how the site works, including how we earn money.
- Helpful content. Our articles aim to answer real questions, not just promote a product.
- Respect for your time. We keep the search simple, fast and easy to use on any device.
